Welcome to Midcenturyglass.com
This site offers 20th century Scandinavian and Italian art glass. It's brought to you by much the same team that created Modernistglass.com. On Modernistglass.com (which many of our customers and visitors tell us is the best website for this type of glass on the Internet) we spend a lot of time and energy helping visitors to understand the processes, people and history of the type of art glass we love.
On Midcenturyglass.com, there will be fewer frills. We're trying to give you a cut price option. We'll offer less expensive pieces (probably no more than US$150, and often much less) without the detailed discussion on designers, firms, and glassmaking methods, and without the videos.
When you buy over the Internet, you have to trust the seller. Modernistglass.com has been successful, we think, in part because we try to be scrupulously honest. You'll still get that at Midcenturyglass.com. We'll still give you detailed descriptions of condition (right down to small "nibbles" and scratches), and show you good photographs of each piece. If, when the piece arrives, you don't like it, send it straight back and we'll refund your purchase money and the cost of shipping from Sweden.
Our glass is all located in Sweden and will ship to anywhere in the world. Payment is generally by credit card via Paypal. When packaging we try to use recycled materials. We have a very successful track record for getting pieces to their new owners unbroken. Insurance via Swedish Post is standard on all shipping.
We hope you enjoy our site, and find some bargains.
Kind regards,
Pernilla, Hans and Peter
